The Music Man StingRay's combination of single alnico humbucking pickup and a versatile 3-band EQ gives you extensive tone sculpting possibilities and the ability to merge between many different musical genres with the twist of a few dials. Featuring low, mid and high controls alongside a master volume, the active circuitry provides the flexibility to radically change your sound and make the most of the wide-range capabilities of the humbucking pickup mounted on a resonant ash body.
The StingRay body is constructed from ash which is a sweet and versatile sounding tonewood. It is also light in weight, ensuring you'll be comfortable through long gigs and rehearsals. The maple neck and fingerboard add brightness to the overall tone, and its oil finish provides a lovely soft and smooth feel for the left hand to dance up and down the neck all night.
The StingRay has many professional appointments that allow a stable and reliable performance. A compensated nut and solid steel bridge with individual stainless-steel saddles allow for perfect intonation and setup of string height. The truss rod is adjustable without removing the neck and the Schaller tuners ensure accurate tuning and stability. The neck is mounted with a particularly solid 6-bolt attachment giving perfect alignment with no shifting, while the chrome plated brass control cover ensures electronic shielding from external interference. Here you have an instrument where every element has been carefully designed to ensure you have the utmost reliability and can let you get on with the job of letting your artistry flow through the instrument.
