The Baron-H Vintage features a semi-hollow body constructed from high quality mahogany to produce powerful tones. Its semi-hollow design allows the bass to resonate, create a thick, deep tone that can articulate each note. The mahogany body offers naturally rich, warm tones, with a balance of grind and bite to create tights lows and appealing highs. The wood provides the guitar with an excellent amounts of depth and helps produce an incredible sustain. The Schecter is finished off with a Wilkinson bridge, chrome hardware and a gloss black finish to give the bass a stylishly sleek look.
The Maple neck provides some tightness and cut to the bass's tone, delivering an edge of sizzle to the highs and firmness to its lows. The Maple wood provides bright characteristics to the overall tone, whilst offering a snappy attack in the midrange. Adding a Rosewood fingerboard helps to fur up to the Maple’s sound, whilst contributing to its smoothness. The Rosewood/Maple combination brings warmth to the guitars tone, adding sparkle to the highs, thickness to the lows, and opens up the mids. The bass guitar also comes with many other features, including vintage Grover tuners, a Graph Tech nut, and crème dot inlays on the fretboard.
The Baron features a single Seymour Duncan Music Man SMB-4D pickup at the bridge position, offering aggressively punchy tones that will keep up with any musical style. Designed with large ceramic bar magnets and a custom coil wind, the SMB-4D pickup will produce a tight, articulating tone with a solid low end. With an immediate attack, excellent clarity, and enough power to make each note tremble, the music man pickup is perfect for heavy rock and thumb-funk players alike.
