The Diamond-P Custom features a set of EMG pickups, delivering punchy lows, sharp highs, and a flexible performance. The low noise EMG P pickup is designed to accommodate contemporary and traditional playing styles, built with ceramic magnets for a warm, defined tone suitable for a variety of music including slap funk, rock, and smooth Motown. At the bridge position is EMG’s ultra-responsive dual coil 35DC soapbar, delivering a full, thick tone whilst keeping unwanted noise to a minimum. The Schecter also features a 3-band EQ for further tone shaping, allowing players to dial in the perfect tone for any situation.
The Diamond-P Custom features a solid alder body, delivering strong, full-bodied tones with a decent amount of sustain. The rich sounding wood offers an excellently rounded low-end, bright, sizzling highs, and a beefy, pronounced midrange. The body is also equipped with Schecter’s custom bridge, which is designed to accommodate both string-though and top load setups to suit different playing styles. The Schecter is finished off with a satin black finish and black chrome hardware to create a visually stylish and sleek look.
The maple wood provides the guitar with bright characteristics, creating a snappy attack in the midrange and a sizzling high end. When the strings are played hard, the wood adds more punch to the tone, and light or medium picking delivers extra clarity. Adding a rosewood fingerboard helps create a warmer and softer tone, with sparkling high end and a thick low end. The bass guitar also comes with many other features, including Schecter tuners, a Graph Tech nut, and dot inlays on the fingerboard.
As one of the world's premier guitar companies, Schecter create and sell a wide range of electric guitars, basses, acoustic guitars, and USA Custom Shop instruments to musicians around the world. They combine quality with affordability to suit a variety of different players and diverse musical styles. The company has a growing number of high profile artists playing their instruments, such as musicians from Disturbed, Avenged Sevenfold, The Cure, Papa Roach, Seether and more.
