Jeff Loomis JLX-1

The Schecter Jeff Loomis JLX-1 has a powerful pickup set and fast playing neck specification to deliver searing metal tones with effortless playability. The swamp ash body lends brightness and clarity to your sound, and is matched to a maple neck for an increase in harmonic overtones and warmth. Seymour Duncan Blackouts

Seymour Duncan has modified its popular Blackout active pickups to meet the requirements of Jeff Loomis's aggressive and technically challenging playing. They remain clear under heavy distortion and are designed to give strong articulation in fast riffing. The pickups also provide sustain and dynamics to keep up with Jeff's advanced legato and picking techniques.

The pickups are the ideal pairing for performing modern styles of metal, providing clarity in complex chords, fast attack for staccato riffing, and liquid smooth sustain for lead work.

Fast Neck Specification

The Jeff Loomis JLX-1 has a modern neck specification geared towards fast playing. It has a thin 'C' profile that sits comfortably in the hand and allows easy reach to all 7 strings. The neck is mounted through the body with an "Ultra Access" design; when combined with the double cutaway body, this joint allows you to easily access the whole length of the fingerboard. It also provides exceptional resonance with the neck running the whole length of the instrument.

The neck is mounted with 24 extra-jumbo frets to provide excellent control of the strings when playing string bends and vibrato. The frets are fixed with a 16'' radius, giving you the perfect modern feel for effortless playability.
