The S&P Woodland Cedar Electro Acoustic Guitar features a solid cedar top which not only offers a pleasing aesthetic, but produces a broad dynamic range, a brilliant warmth, and a huge amount of character whilst keeping the volume low in comparison. Cedar is an extremely popular wood, coming in just behind spruce. Cedar is recognisable by its darker colour compared to spruce, whilst staying lighter than mahogany. This stunning cedar top offers a sublime yet powerful tone, providing endless warmth and depth. Cedar is relatively quiet compared to some other tonewoods, and can lose some clarity when played loud and hard. However, cedar is a favourite among fingerstyle players who value the quality and character of tone above volume. The cedar top is contrasted beautifully by the wild cherry laminate back and sides, offering tonal properties that fall closer towards the mellow tones and huge character of mahogany, and away from the brightness of maple. Overall this guitar delivers a rich blend of quality tonewoods that shine through with each chord, note or strum.

Dreadnought Body Shape

The classic dreadnought body provides great volume and maintains overall tonal balance. The big body is ideal for players with a longer reach, and those who are more comfortable with the larger dreadnought size. The volume that the S&P Woodland Cedar can produce is ideal for singer-songwriter, as vocalists can push their diaphragm to the max and not feel too loud against the guitar's volume, as it will sing as loud as you do.
