‘Feel’ is a fundamental part of playing any instrument and the Squier FSR Affinity Jazz Bass uses a maple neck and alder body to ensure the best possible tone and playing experience. The fretboard is made with an Indian laurel fretboard which is very similar in feel and tone to rosewood, offering a warmer natural resonance.
The Squire Affinity Jazz Bass is known for how good it sounds and part of the reason for that is the Squire single coil pick-ups, they have heaps of note definition and a lot of attack which is why the Jazz bass is perfect for complex musical passages. As the name suggests these are great for Jazz but being one of the most favoured models of bass, you have heard the Jazz bass on countless records in plenty of styles from The Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Blink 182, and Marcus Miller.
It may be the most comfortable neck you can play on bass. The Jazz bass neck is known for its comfort and speed, giving new players a perfect starting point for learning, and developing technique. The neck is crafted in Maple, complemented with a Laurel fretboard which helps balance its tone perfectly. It is then finished with Satin Urethane. This is a glass-smooth finish which ensures no stickiness when playing so you can rest assured that you can always sound your best.
