Takamine’s Thermal Series of guitars display an innovative method for wood craftsmanship. The Spruce tops are put in a low oxygen oven and left to bake. This causes an accelerated aging process which results in the guitars sounding historic. This innovative way of building guitars means that your instrument has the strength and reliability of a new instrument, with the warm tone and response of a vintage one.
TLD-2 Preamp
Subtle differences can make all the difference when searching for a premium tone. Takamine has equipped the EF450C-TT with a discrete TLD-2 pickup. This system has a naturally warm tonal response that complements you guitar. There are three EQ controls that can be accessed from the soundhole which offer any adjustments you should require. The TLD-2 leaves the EF450C-TT’s wood pattern and shape unaltered for the smoothest sound.
