The Taylor features a scaled down grand symphony body shape, delivering the classic rich, powerful acoustic voice of a normal sized guitar but in a more compact and transportable design. The grand symphony body shape is an ideal choice for strummers, pickers and dynamic players, due to its fullness, volume and sustain.

Tropical Mahogany and Sapele

The mahogany top wood features a stiffness that initially translates into a bright tone, but the more a mahogany-top guitar is played, the more it develops overtones that adds further fullness and richness to the guitar's sound. The body is made from high-quality sapele, an alternative tonewood that Taylor began using over a decade ago. Sometimes mistakenly referred to as African mahogany due to the close resemblance, sapele is highly sustainable and delivers a similar tonality to mahogany, with a little added treble and balance that makes it perfect for a range of playing applications.

The Perfect Guitar Neck

The Taylor NT neck, as featured on full size Taylor acoustics, ensures that playability and reliability are at the heart of the GS Mini. The NT neck was designed to give players a straighter, more stable guitar neck, resistant to common problems such as changes in humidity. The neck sits in a custom fit pocket along with laser-cut spacers. There's a perfect neck angle for each Taylor guitar, and these precision spacers create it. Best of all, because there is no glue used in the NT neck design, maintenance and adjustments can be made by trained technicians in a matter of minutes.
