Product Ref: 9329
These new amplifiers employ our exclusive VOX Valve Reactor circuitry in their power amp stages. Its patented design was originally developed for the award winning Valvetronix Modeling amplifiers, and has been further revised for use in these new amps. It uses an actual vacuum tube (12AX7) and virtual output transformer that behave the same way as a tube power amp that uses larger power tubes such as EL84s or EL34s. The benefits to you are the same sound and feel of a traditional tube amp with much lighter weight and lower cost. In their preamp stages, these new amps use discrete transistors for high quality sound generation and ICs for low noise, fast channel switching and other signal management functions. The resulting combination creates a hybrid amplifier capable of delivering superb tone-both vintage and modern-with the high harmonic content and compression found in original VOX AC30 and AC15 amplifiers.
THREE MODES FOR AN AWESOME SELECTION
Both the VR30 and VR15 are equipped with 2-channels and 3-modes.The Normal channel delivers that authentic VOX warm, clean tone. With a choice of two different settings for the Overdrive channel, you can go from a smooth vintage overdrive to modern distortion at the touch of a button. You can also use an optional footswitch to switch easily between channels while performing.
YOU'RE IN FULL CONTROL
Using VOX pointer knobs the new VRs feature a selection of essential controls: Normal (clean) channel volume, Overdrive channel gain and Overdrive channel volume. The VR30 REVERB includes controls for Spring Reverb level, Master Volume and Reverb, as well as separate Bass and Treble controls for each channel. The VR15 has Master Bass and Treble controls. Each amp comes complete with jacks for Footswitch, Headphone and External Speaker.
