The Yamaha YTS82Zs Custom Z Tenor Saxophone has an abundance of new features that make the Custom Z range revolutionary instruments. The improved connections between the B and C# key provide a better closing mechanism, which gives a greater response at the lower range of the instrument. The Custom Z's metal resonator pads give the saxophone a clearer definition and a larger dynamic range. Together these features make the instrument much easier to play.
New Bell and Neck Design
Sticking with the design of vintage saxophones, the Yamaha YTS82ZS comes with a one-piece bell, which provides greater stability towards the bottom range of the instrument and gives many differing timbres. The reduced C1 neck weight makes the Custom Z Saxophone very easy to blow and provides the greatest possible flexibility. Once the YTS82ZS has been constructed, it is coated in a beautiful amber lacquer which is truly reminiscent of vintage jazz saxophones. The new engraving on the Custom Z has been done with finer detail and looks stunning.
Metal Resonator Pad
The metal resonators featured on this model offer a superb response and provide a wider dynamic range. The whole range of the instrument has a clearer pronunciation, producing effortless playability all around.
Comfortable to Play
The Yamaha YTS82ZS Custom Z Tenor Saxophone features an adjustable front F key, which gives the player the freedom to find the perfect feel and level of resistance in higher ranges of the instrument. Lighter thumb hook and thumb rest make the instrument not only resonate better, but also provide comfort for long sessions of playing.
Included Accessories
The YTS82ZS comes with a lightweight hard case with shoulder straps that makes transportation extremely manageable. In addition, a TS4CM mouthpiece is also included so you can get started straight away.
