Wide & Thin Maple Neck

The Yamaha RGX series guitar features a thin maple neck coupled with a smooth rosewood fingerboard, delivering an incredibly fast and comfortable play, perfect for the technical player. While the maple tonewood contributes tightness and cut to the guitar’s tone, the rosewood fingerboard helps ‘fur up’ the maple's sound to create warm, sweet characteristics for sparkling highs and thick lows.

Powerful Humbuckers

A set of Yamaha’s powerful humbuckers provide the RGX220DZ guitar with its incredible sound, delivering clear distorted tones perfect for the aggressive player. These humbuckers are designed with open construction ceramic magnets, keeping the sound tight and clear, even under high gain distortion. Master volume and tone controls provide all the tone shaping you need, and a 3-way pickup selector lets you switch between the bright clear tones of the bridge and the deep sounds of the neck.

Double-Locking Tremolo

The Double Locking Tremolo produces a range of unique sounds and accents, such as dive bombs, and lets you create a range of tonal effects to enhance your playing. The addition of a locking nut system provides advanced tuning stability.
