The Dean Espana Fusion features a classical guitar body shape which offers a comfortable playing experience, perfect for classical/flamenco players. This stunning guitar is a combination of both traditional classical guitars and acoustic guitars. By providing slimmer dimensions and a radiused fingerboard with a classical guitar body, nylon strings, and traditional classical guitar design, players are receiving the feel and playability of a steel-strung acoustic/electric guitar. The Espana Fusion will perform greatly in both flamenco and classical styled strumming to more complex fingerpicking techniques. To provide players with more freedom throughout the fingerboard, the Espana features a Venetian cutaway. The Venetian Cutaway is renowned for its soft, round lines, creating a visually stunning look that is recognisable on any body. This type of cutaway allows easier access to the upper frets for a comfortable play, and enables players to achieve more challenging fingerpicking styles.
The Dean Espana Fusion features a stunning solid spruce top that delivers a broad dynamic range and crisp articulation. Spruce is the most commonly used wood for guitar tops as it generates a versatile sound and accommodates numerous playing styles, from aggressive to fingerpicking. The wood itself is quite elastic in nature, which resonates well whilst remaining strong, and provides a focused, clear sound of deep lows, warm midi-range, and bright sparkling highs. The spruce top is accompanied by Indian rosewood back and sides which delivers a full bass response, warm mids, and an overall punchy tone. Furthermore rosewood is often considered the number one choice for acoustic guitars due to its unique tonal qualities and striking dark grain.
The Espana's neck is constructed from mahogany, offering great durability and resonance. Mahogany responds greatly to picking, strumming, and various finger techniques with equal ease, making ideal for the classical/flamenco genres. The neck is topped with a rosewood fingerboard that offers warmth and bright sizzling sparkle that really shines through when using fingerpicking techniques. The rosewood fingerboard also offers a smooth and energetic playing experience.
The Espana Fusion comes equipped with a Fishman Presys Blend preamp, making this stunning guitar ideal for the gigging musicians. The Presys Blend preamp features rotary controls for volume, bass, middle, treble, notch, mic blend, as well as separate buttons for phase and a built-in tuner.
