The ESP LTD M-BKM Black Metal is a honed guitar for metal music; any feature that is extraneous to making a powerful tone has been removed. As such, it features a single Seymour Duncan Black Winter humbucker and volume control for a no-nonsense metal sound. The guitar's sleek satin finish delivers a focussed aesthetic that gives your audience no illusions as to what sort of sound you'll be making.
The ESP LTD Black Metal has a single Seymour Duncan Black Winter humbucker in the bridge position. This unit is designed to provide the most saturated sounds possible for metal performance. It has 3 large ceramic magnets to ensure maximum output and sustain in all high gain situations. The coil is overwound to deliver exceptional clarity in the mids and the high-end, while the low-end stays focused and articulate for technical riffing. This is the perfect pickup for technical playing that requires articulation when the gain is turned up.
The ESP LTD Black Metal has a very fast neck specification. It has 24 extra jumbo frets which provide excellent control over the strings, especially when performing bends and vibrato. The fingerboard is a flat 350mm giving an easy playability, while the neck is joined to the body with an incredibly smooth neck-through joint that will simply disappear under your left hand as you get to the 'dusty end' of the guitar.
The ESP LTD Black Metal has an alder body for a bright sound that brings out the clarity in your high-gain playing. The neck is maple and topped with a macassar ebony fingerboard for enhanced low-end articulation. The guitar has a Floyd Rose 1000 tremolo enabling access to extreme whammy bar tricks, safe in the knowledge that your strings will return to pitch accurately every time.
