The Epiphone ES-339 Pro Guitar Nickel HW, Natural is designed with a reduced body size to provide an even more comfortable and playable guitar. The ES-339 Pro features a semi-hollow body construction, with classic 'F' holes which add to the guitar's aesthetics as well as enhancing the sound with airiness. With a laminated maple body and a solid centre block, the Epiphone ES-339 delivers bright and twangy charactersitics, as well as plenty of sustain for the classic bell-like tone that will ring for days. The ES-339 Pro Guitar has a SlimTaper D profile mahogany neck, so that the artist can smoothly navigate the rosewood fingerboard. To achieve the classic tone of the original ES models, the ES-339 PRO is loaded with a pair of Alnico Classic PRO Pickups for a versatile tone. The Epiphone ES-339 Pro Nickel has a vintage Natural finish and a black pickguard, providing a rock classic that is reminiscent of the late 50s scene.

The Birth of a Legend

First introduced in the late '50s, the ES series became an instant rock classic, bringing the feel and look of an archtop to a generation of players who had grown up playing solid body guitars like the Les Paul. The ES-335, the first in the ES series, was an instant success. But for many players who were used to smaller solid body guitars, the ES-335 felt too bulky to play on stage. The new ES-339 PRO is the perfect remedy, featuring smaller body dimensions while still retaining the bell-like tone the ES series is famous for.
