The 1965 Journeyman Relic comes equipped with three Custom Shop hand-wound Dual Mag II pickups, delivering rich and complex tones with an emphasis on clarity and warmth. With these electronics, you are provided a full range of sounds to experiment with—from strong lows to clear highs. As their coils are wound by hand, each Dual-Mag is provided with a unique character that is both dynamic and versatile. They also have excellent sensitivity, which means they respond well to changes in playing style and can be adjusted to suit a variety of musical genres. Furthermore, while the Dual Mag IIs are ready to accommodate all of your performance needs, they come with controls and technology that ensure you get the best out of your guitar.
The reverse-wound/reverse-polarity middle pickup is designed to cancel out unwanted hum and noise when combined with the bridge or neck, resulting in a cleaner and more balanced voicing. This gives you the ability to sculpt your sound with precision. Not only that, but it also enhances the tonal balance between strings, meaning the harmonics are equally clear and full, without any one string overpowering the others.
