Dusty Hill produced a sound so distinctive that Seymour Duncan saw fit to capture it in a custom pickup. Equipped with a single Seymour Duncan Stacked P Bass pickup, the Hill P Bass is jam packed with crisp articulation and luscious low end sonics.
Unique, old-school style
It's nothing short of gorgeous. Dressed in a Black colour scheme and sporting a worn-in Relic finish unique to the ZZ Top man, the Dusty Hill P Bass presents the familiar feel of a stage veteran. The meticulous detail of the Custom Shop extends to every inch of this bass, with every component delicately aged to reflect years of constant gigging. It's so accurate that it could be mistaken for one of Dusty's own touring workhorses!
What's more, you're getting the full beauty of the black colour scheme thanks to the rear routed controls. This method of wiring allowed Dusty to remove the top plate for a truly distinctive aesthetic.

Built for bold basslines. Influenced by Dusty himself, this signature P bass serves up an ultra-comfy riffing experience through a custom neck shape. Made from a premium, one-piece quartersawn maple, the neck is incredibly easy to grip. And not only that, but it'll award you with the unmistakable feel of a vintage instrument thanks to its gloss nitrocellulose lacquer finish, allowing for speedy transitions around the frets.
And with a fretboard that's curved in a 7.25" radius and slotted with 20 vintage-style fret wires, it delivers an incredibly easy action to smooth out any level of bassline.
