In 1962 the Fender celebrated the 10 year anniversary of the Telecaster by taking an already popular guitar and adding a range of impressive new features and a cool new finishes to the ever growing line up. The FSR 62 pays homage to the iconic '62 Telecaster models by featuring a range of vintage styles and components such as the vintage voiced pickups, Bigsby tremolo bridge, Alder body and attractive white binding.
With specially voiced vintage style single coil pickups in the neck and bridge position the FSR '62 Telecaster delivers the iconic bright and crisp tone expected from the 60s. The vintage style single coil pickups are perfect for a variety of genres and playing styles but particularly excel when used for pop, rock and country as they achieve an impressive clarity and a balanced harmonic response.
Featuring a unique Fender Bigsby vibrato tremolo bridge the FSR 62 allows you to bend the pitch of notes and chords with the robust whammy bar. With a roller bridge system and spring loaded arm pushing down the whammy bar allows the string tension to be relieved lowering the pitch. The pressure spring counterbalances the natural tension of the strings allowing the guitar to hold tuning when in neutral position.
All the 2015 FSR models are a limited edition Japanese run of Fender guitars that meet the same superior expectations and build quality of the American edition Fender Guitars. Japan is often considered to be one of the best guitar manufactures in the world alongside America and although they are not usually sold in the UK the FSR Limited Edition models allow you to purchase an exceptionally high quality Fender guitar at a competitive price.
