The Fender Jazzmaster is equipped with a pair of single-coil Jazzmaster pickups, for excellent versatility. These pickups deliver a hot, vintage-inspired tone, with enhanced punch and definition to create incredible soundscapes. Achieving the perfect tone is easy with its master volume and tone controls, along with a 3-position switch to toggle between the different configurations.
The 60s Jazzmaster features an alder body to deliver an incredibly resonant and balanced tone, with plenty of clarity for notes to sing. The body's comfortable contours provides a smooth performance while the lightness of the tonewood ensures players don't strain their shoulders during long performances. The alder provides a good amount of sustain, creating bright, sizzling highs, excellently rounded lows, and beefy mids.
The maple neck tightens up the Fender Guitar's overall tonality, providing extra cut to help punch through dense mixes. Its comfortably smooth feel and slim ''C'' profile offers an incredibly fast performance, allowing players to deliver beautiful leads and solos with ease. The maple neck is paired with a rosewood fingerboard, bringing softer tones as well as warm and smooth articulation.
Fender Japan was established as a way for Fender to market their guitars to the Japanese market, allowing for the creation of low cost Fender guitars that still possess the high expectations and build quality of their American counterparts. Japan is often considered to be one of the leading places in the world for guitar manufacturing, and although most of the guitars produced are not sold in the UK, the FSR series allows players to purchase an exceptionally high quality and unique guitar.
The Fender Jazzmaster was originally intended for sophisticated jazz guitarists, and was quickly embraced by musicians who were attracted to its left-of-centre looks and fat sound. The new American Pro Jazzmaster is a direct descendant of the guitar that powered underground music from the late 1960s to today, and features a full host of updates for the modern player.
