This Fender Bass has a smooth classic style and a convenient new four-position rotary pickup selector switch that delivers a versatile quartet of pickup combinations (full middle and bridge pickups, full middle pickup and bridge pickup outer coil, full bridge pickup and middle pickup outer coil, outer coil of both pickups). Whatever music you play, this bass should have a tone to suit.
Other features of the Modern Player Jazz Bass include an Alder body, Maple neck with C shaped profile, 9.5"radius Maple fingerboard with 20 jumbo frets and easy-access truss rod adjustment wheel. Plus redesigned Modern Player Jazz Bass humbucking pickups, single-ply black pickguard and vintage-style black plastic control knobs (two volume and master tone), and four-saddle Fender Hi-Mass bridge.
"The thing I love most about this bass is the ability to get pretty much any tone out of it you desire. It has a very nice raw jazz bass sound. However since it has the humbucking neck pickup you can make this sound like an authentic P bass! It is very adjustable in tone. It actually tends to run pretty hot on the pick ups for plenty of tone and volume adjustment. I also love the craftsmanship of this bass. The frets are sound down nicely so you don't have to worry about the frets digging into your hand. over all I can say I play this more than my american standard jazz bass. Also, if you are looking at Mexican made basses, stop looking just get this one. you will thank me later!!!" Fender Customer Review

Please note:
This item is an ex showroom/ demonstration model. As such, there are light scuffs and signs of use around the finish. These marks are subtle and are only really noticeable when looking very closely in the light. We deem these marks to be cosmetic, otherwise the guitar looks and plays as new. The original box is also scuffed and the manual is missing.
