The Gretsch G9511 takes its inspiration from tradition, and recreates the bygone era of 'living room' choruses and prairie melodies. The guitar’s Parlor body shape is slightly smaller than an average sized guitar, producing a balanced tone with a powerful projection, and delivers a perfect mid-range tone. This type of body shape has recently had a resurgence with modern players due to its versatility and compact size, making it a favourite with travelling musicians. Its compact size also accommodates fingerpicking players, as its nipped in waist means it can be held closer to the body for an incredibly comfortable play.
The G9511 is crafted with a solid sitka spruce soundboard, along with a laminated mahogany body. This combination of tonewoods produces a well balanced tone, with crisp articulation and excellent acoustic projection.
Manufactured in New York, these EXP16 strings features a high carbon steel core, coated in phosphor bronze for a warm, bright, well balanced acoustic tone with excellent longevity and unprecedented strength.
