The Ibanez AE255BT features the versatile and extremely comfortable body, the AE shape. Its innovative AE body has superb projection and balance, offering versatility for players of all techniques. The body is slightly bigger than the traditional dreadnought size, and with its deeper waist, players can appreciate its response to the dynamics of both aggressive strumming to subtle, lighter fingerpicking styles. In addition, the Ibanez AE255BT provides an extremely comfortable playing experience due to its deeper contours and Venetian cutaway. Its deeper waist and contours enable players to sit comfortably with the guitar on the knee, offering better access, playability, and optimising comfort.

Solid Sitka Spruce & Ovangkol Construction

The Ibanez AE255BT features a solid sitka spruce top that yields crisp articulation and delivers a broad dynamic range, offering a versatile sound for players of any style. Its solid sitka spruce top has a clear and loud characteristic and is able to handle light fingerpicking to more aggressive strumming patterns with ease. The versatile solid top is coupled with ovangkol back and sides that provides the strength and power of rosewood and delivers the sweetness of koa. Additionally, its ovangkol body delivers a broad dynamic range that is full in the mids and bright in the treble. Together, this pleasing combination of tonewoods delivers a versatile sound that is ideal for a wide range of genres and playing styles.

Custom Electronics & Ibanez T-Bar Undersaddle Pickup

As well as offering a superb acoustic tone, players can benefit from the on-board custom electronics and Ibanez T-Bar undersaddle pickup. The discreet custom preamp allows players to plug into an amp, or directly into a PA system for larger events, and also features an endpin jack integrated preamp, which offers controls for mute and a battery checker. Ibanez wanted to reduce the amount of holes being cut into the body, which resulted in the subtle and sophisticated T-Bar pickup being placed under the saddle. Being unobtrusive as possible, the T-Bar features a center position wired construction which helps to avoid undesirable noise yet equalizes the volume of each string. With all this, the AE255BT becomes ideal for the performing musicians.

Mahogany Neck & Maple Fingerboard

With a neck crafted from mahogany, the AE255BT 2018 has a great response to many different techniques, this is due to the nature of the wood, making it ideal for players of all styles. In addition, the neck is topped with a maple fingerboard which adds a bright sustained tone to the overall sound. Its smooth fingerboard is graced with an intricate wooden inlay that offers such a beautiful addition to its delicate ornate details.
