The AFC95 Artcore Archtop features a combination of spruce and flame maple, delivering a superb tone with stunning and unique aesthetics. The spruce top offers a broad dynamic range and accommodates a wide variety of playing styles. Spruce is a common choice for soundboards, as its longevity and strength provide a sturdy structure, as well as an ideal diaphragm for sound transmission. Combined with flame maple, players can achieve a loud, projective acoustic tone with plenty of dynamics and definition. The hollow body design enhances the guitar’s resonance and sustain, offering a beautifully acoustic character. A pair of classic F sound holes provide an authentic 1950s appearance as well as adding to the overall sound delivery.
This contemporary archtop guitar has been specifically designed to meet the demands of today's cutting edge players, offering superb craftsmanship and hardware for the best sound. As well as a resonant body with comfortable contours, a three-piece mahogany/maple neck is incorporated for added comfort and an enhanced tone. The three-piece neck is mounted with a bound ebony fingerboard with acrylic block inlays. Ebony is a great choice for fingerboards, as its natural smoothness reduces finger fatigue ideal for fast playing styles, and provides the perfect platform for percussive styles such as tapping or hammer-ons.
The Artcore Archtop is equipped with a set of stylish Magic Thumb-Mini pickups, offering the ideal balance of classic tones and clear articulation for the perfect performance. While its small design makes them blend in with the natural aesthetics of the guitar, they are still capable of packing a punch. Players can deliver a beautifully clean high-end response for fast melodies and complex chords, or turn up the power for extra crunch perfect for classic rock.
