The ASV100FMD body is built from flame maple in a classic semi-hollow body shape. The flame maple tonewood offers a bright and precise acoustic tone with tight lows and great clarity. The vintage 'aging' is purely visual and you can be rest-assured that this guitar is in brand-new condition. Here you can have the chance to own a guitar that has the appeal of a well-worn classic instrument but without the risk of broken electronics or rusted parts.
The ASV100FMD has a neck in a 3-piece mahogany and maple set-in design. Mahogany provides excellent sustain and warmth whilst the solid ebony fingerboard gives note definition and clarity. The nut is vintage-inspired and made from bone to give richer tone throughout the range.
The ASV100 features modern hardware finished in gold colour which gives the guitar a real vintage aesthetic. Ibanez's Super 58 pickups provide vintage-inspired tones with the ability to go from warm nuanced cleans right through to the biting growl of blues and rock. They really bring out the quality of the hollow body and give a lot versatility to this guitar in the blues / soul / R'n'B genres. The ART-1 bridge provides improved sustain and tuning stability whilst the Quick Change III Tailpiece enables fast and easy string changing. The Sure Grip III Control Knobs give the ASV100 smooth and precise adjustments ensuring you'll have a tactile feel for changing your tone when playing live.
Like some of the other guitars in the Artist range, the ASV100 features a mini-toggle switch in order to switch the neck pickup into either parallel, coil tapped, or full coil sounds. This gives a wider range of tones on this guitar and can offer some unique combinations of pickups when used with the 3-way toggle selector switch.
Over the past 30 years, Ibanez Guitars have always been at the forefront of developing the right tools for electric guitar players pushing the boundaries of music. For decades, Ibanez designers and luthiers have been the embodiment of this ideology, pushing their skills to the edge of imagination, consistently creating some of the most versatile and unique instruments ever. Although Ibanez guitars have been made since 1908, it wasn't until the late 1980s that they began to form an identity for themselves when artists such as Steve Vai and Frank Zappa began using their instruments. Now with a huge artist clientele across the globe, Ibanez are a leading manufacturer of electric guitars and basses and a first choice for many dedicated musicians.
