Steve Vai is an American guitarist, composer, singer, songwriter primarily known his collaboration with Frank Zappa. A three time Grammy award winner and fifteen-time nominee, Vai started his impressive career at a young age and is considered as a 'highly individualistic player.' Vai has worked with Ibanez for many years since the launch of the JEM guitar, which he co-designed. This 30th Anniversary model celebrates Ibanez's long established collaboration with Steve Vai.
The JEM777 features Vai's famous Evolution pickups, delivering a high-output that is perfect for classic rock and metal riffs. Equipped with two Evolution humbuckers on the neck and bridge, and a Evolution single coil on the middle position, the JEM777 offers a versatile performance. All three pickups deliver that classic Steve Vai tone that fans will love!
The disappearing pyramid inlays featured on the JEM777 are a tribute to Vai's interest in mysticism. Its vibrant body colour and matching headstock is contrasted with the black pickguard, Lions-claw tremolo cavity and pickups. Vai's signature 'Monkey Grip' is also included, and shaped to fit any hand with comfort.
This 30th anniversary model comes equipped with a hardshell case, along with a green multi-tool, and certificate of authenticity styled in a 'Tour-Pass' format. If that's not enough, this vibrant guitar also includes a 30th anniversary neck plate.
