Beautiful Flamed Maple Hollow Body

John Scofield’s Signature JSM100 Prestige Guitar features a hollow body design crafted from stunning flamed maple, creating a beautifully unique aesthetic with a classic 50s style voice. The maple tonewood provides a clear, defined upper midsection and a high-end sparkle, delivering a balanced low-end response ideal for chiming chords and super bright lead patterns. For added acoustic projection, a duo of classic 'F' sound holes are also featured on the maple soundboard, providing a classic look that many guitarists associate with the 1950s era.

Mahogany Neck & Bound Ebony Fingerboard

The mahogany neck is designed with Scofield’s custom profile, offering a smooth, fast play, optimised for jazz and rock. The mahogany tonewood produces a warm, mellow tone, with complex highs and thick, creamy lows. The neck is mounted with a bound ebony fingerboard, finished with acrylic and abalone block inlays to create an elegant apathetic. Ebony is a great choice for fingerboards, as its natural smoothness reduces finger fatigue, ideal for fast playing styles, and provides the perfect platform for percussive styles such as tapping or hammer-ons. It’s bound edges allow for a smooth play and fluid hand flexibility across the whole neck.

Warm Humbucking Pickups

The set of Super 58 pickups help to bring out the natural tones of the guitar woods, providing a wonderfully resonant playing experience. Clean and warm sounds are this guitar's natural territory, offering an authentic 'jazz-box' experience with excellent dynamics and plenty of depth. However, when pushing the overdrive a little more, the bridge pickup is perfectly capable of some biting blues tones, whilst the neck pickup will allow for some tasty R'n'B licks.

High-Quality Hardware

The George Bensons Signature GB10SE includes a Gotoh bridge and tailpiece, offering incredible tuning stability and string resonance transfer while adding to its stunning aesthetic. The speedy control knobs provide a refined feel, whilst the black pickguard adds to this guitar's good looks. A specially designed half-bone/half-brass nut and Gotoh tuners enhance the natural transfer of vibrations, delivering an improved sustain with excellent tuning stability.
