The George Benson LGB300 Ibanez features a hollow body crafted from solid spruce and maple, offering superb tones and an excellent projection. Its spruce top provides this signature hollow body with a broad dynamic range, accommodating a wide variety of playing styles. Combined with maple, players can achieve a clear, defined upper midsection and a high-end sparkle, with a balanced low-end response ideal for chiming chords and super bright lead patterns. For added acoustic projection, a duo of classic 'F' sound holes are also featured on the maple soundboard, providing a classic look that many guitarists associate with the 1950s era.
As well as a lightweight body, the LGB300 Signature is also equipped with a 3-piece maple neck and ebony fingerboard, offering an incredibly stable and smooth performance. The maple tonewood provides the overall tone with a beautifully bright characteristic, creating a sizzling high-end with plenty of punch. The ebony fingerboard features a smooth, natural finish, along with a very responsive bright, snappy attack and a smooth sustain. It’s bound edges and prestige fret edge treatment creates a smooth play and fluid hand flexibility across the whole neck.
The set of Super 58 pickups help to bring out the natural tones of the guitar woods, providing a wonderfully resonant playing experience. Clean and warm sounds are this guitar's natural territory, offering an authentic 'jazz-box' experience with excellent dynamics and plenty of depth. However, when pushing the overdrive a little more, the bridge pickup is perfectly capable of some biting blues tones, whilst the neck pickup will allow for some tasty R'n'B licks.
The Signature Little George Benson Guitar includes a classic ebony bridge and custom LGB300 tailpiece, providing excellent tuning stability, incredible string resonance transfer, and an effortlessly cool aesthetic. The sure-grip control knobs provide a refined feel whilst the wood-shaded pickguard adds to its good looks. A bone nut aids in sustain, whilst gold coloured hardware completes the vintage appearance. All in all, the LGB300 has a classy aesthetic with a tone and playability that match up to its stunning style.
The Ibanez Prestige series combines precision, performance, and playability to create a range of powerfully versatile electric guitars.
