A comfortable and reliable instrument is a necessity, whether you’re a pro or just starting out. Ibanez's SR series is designed to accommodate the needs of a wide variety of players, letting you develop or practice your skills in comfort.
Its lightweight maple body is a blessing during long performances. With its curved contours letting your picking hand rest comfortably while playing. Its neck is made from a combination of walnut and maple. This design strengthens the neck, protecting it against warping and bowing over time.
The SR Bass is also fitted with an Accu-cast B120 bridge. Its designed to increase string stability without compromising comfort. By keeping the strings stable, your notes will sustain for longer – resulting in a more expressive performance.
The SR375EF features a fretless fingerboard. This provides you with a unique performance that fretted guitars can’t achieve. By removing the frets, the bass' strings can vibrate more freely and interact directly with the jatoba fingerboard. This setup lets you deliver naturally smooth slides. You can also produce a double-bass style vibrato and microtonal intonations (the notes found inbetween the frets).
Fretless basses are generally used in jazz and funk since they offer a similar feel and tone to an acoustic double bass. Despite this, the SR375EF can handle any musical genre you might throw at it.
To ensure you have everything to improve your skills, the Ibanez SR375 is equipped with a set of PowerSpan dual coil pickups and a versatile control section. Its pickups are designed with exposed stainless-steel pole pieces, providing you with plenty of output and exceptional clarity. You’ll always get plenty of response for creating rich harmonics and dynamic expressions.
To get more for the pickups, you also have access to a 3-band EQ. With this, you can shape your tone to suit a wide range of musical genres and playing styles. You can also experiment with the controls to find the perfect sound for any situation - or create new and inspiring tones.
If that wasn’t enough, you also have access to a 3-way power tap switch. Offering three different pickup configurations for a versatile performance. You can take it from the classic humbucking tones to sweet single-coil sounds. You can also deliver a bass enhanced single-coil soundscape. No matter what you throw at it, this versatile bass will keep up with you as you develop your skills.
Over the past 30 years, Ibanez have always been at the forefront of developing the right tools for players to push the boundaries of music.
