The Dinky DK7 features a stunning okoume body in a natural finish, offering a resonant and balanced tone with plenty of clarity and body. Okoume is a unique tonewood, as the balanced response and slight upper middle definition makes it perfect for many different styles of music. The light weight of the okoume wood ensures players can deliver incredible tones throughout the night without discomfort.
The Jackson Guitar’s one-piece maple neck features a scarf joint and graphite reinforcement rods, enhancing it stiffness and stability while guarding against temperature and humidity-induced warping. The maple neck is coupled with an ebony fingerboard to deliver a beautifully bright, warm characteristic, with thundering lows and a pleasing high end sparkle.
The Pro Series Dinky Guitar features Jackson's unique and innovative compound-radius fingerboard design, in which the fingerboard gradually flattens toward the heel from its more rounded profile at the nut. This design provides a smooth playability for both chords and riffs whilst the flattened heel allows sensational accessibility and speed at the high register, perfect for both lead and rhythm players.
The classic Jackson headstock featured on the Dinky DK7 is carefully angled at 17 degrees, increasing the pressure on the strings and helping them to stay in the nut slots. In addition, an increase in string pressure also means there is no loss of string vibration between the nut and the tuners, which equals better sustain and an overall smoother performance.
The set of passive Seymour Duncan pickups provide the guitar with powerful and articulate tones, featuring a Nazgul pickup at the bridge and a Sentient pickup at the neck. Switching the guitar to the Nazgul pickup offers a punchy and defined tonality, designed with ceramic magnets to deliver extra focus in the low-end ideal for drop tunings. Switching to the Sentient humbucker unleashes rich, distorted sounds and deep detailed clean tones, providing an incredibly versatile soundscape perfect for a wide range of playing styles.
With a Floyd Rose Special double locking tremolo bridge and locking nut system, the Jackson Dinky DK7 can produce a range of unique sounds and accents to enhance your playing experience. The bridge is ideal for creating powerful dive bombs and swift pitch shifts, while the locking nut provides advanced tuning stability essential for performing musicians.
