The Jackson SLATFXQMG3-8 wields a dual set of EMG 808 active soapbar pickups which utilize alnico V loaded wide aperture coils to deliver a truly dynamic 8-string tonality. Eliminating the muddy and muffled low B sound of prior 8 string guitar pickups the 808's produce a deep and defined low B response whilst also providing tight, crisp and detailed overall response allowing them to be versatile enough for a huge range of playing styles.

The incorporation of a four top, four bottom machine head pattern helps to reduce sympathetic vibrations by allowing less room between the nut and machine heads to deliver a pure and charismatic tone.

The Jackson X Series Soloist incorporates a string-thru body to provide improved tonality and sustain by transferring vibrations and resonance from the string to the body as it goes over the tailpiece and passes through the body.

The incorporation of a neck-thru construction allows the Jackson X Series Soloist SLATFXQMG3-8 to produce advanced sustain and resonance by optimizing the maximum contact between the neck and body joint to allow superior vibration transfer and sustainability perfect for when you need notes to just ring out for as long as possible.
