The Laney GH50R Combo features 4x 12AX7 preamp tubes alongside 2x TAD EL34 power amp valves to deliver versatile preamp tones into a mighty power-amp section, capable of stunning dynamic range and volume capabilities. These valves drive Celestion Vintage 30 speakers mounted in a solid plywood cabinet to give you powerful and focused projection on stage. Whether you need maximum headroom for crisp clean tones, or powerfully compressed overdrives for sympathetic solo sounds, the GH50R has the power and versatility to cover all bases.

A Versatile Balance Of Red And Black

The striking ox blood red and black leather grain not only give the GH50R a classy aesthetic, but reflect the nature of what this amplifier can achieve. The GH range are the most tonally versatile amplifiers that Laney have created and are designed to let the player interact with both the preamp and the power sections to create all manner of tonal possibilities.

Each channel is capable of being used either clean or overdriven with the balance between preamp distortion and power-amp overdrive all within the player's reach. Sonically, channel 1 is warm and sparkling with a sweet high-end. When pushed hard in conjunction with the master volume, it is capable of some real grit and tonal depth, like the way old non-master volume amps were able to generate their singing tones. Channel 2 gives you the same broad range of tones but with the addition of its own volume control to give you even more balance between preamp and power-amp distortion. This gives you the capability of playing any style, from mellow clean jazz, to biting funk and blues, through to rock and even metal; the GH50R has the capabilities to cover it all.

The Celestion Vintage 30 speakers are versatile and well-rounded in their tonal output, providing the perfect projection for the GH50R. They are mounted inside a solid plywood cabinet which is built with durable corner protection and recessed carry handles to make this combo manageable when transporting to and from the gig.

XLR DI With Speaker Simulation

The GH50R includes a direct output which is situated after the power valves to include the whole tone of the amplifier in a direct signal; a feature not normally included on most DI outputs. It also offers a cabinet simulation so that it can be plugged directly into a mixing desk and PA system to give you instant live gigging tones without needing to bring a microphone.

Digital Reverb, FX Loop, Footswitch, MP3 Input

The GH50R gives the modern guitarist all the professional features that are used at rehearsals and in live performance. A digital reverb provides a wonderful ambience to your tone, while the FX loop with switchable levels enables the use of external effects pedals. A foot-switch (provided) allows the switching of modes and reverb functionality to give you live control over your amp's main features. The GH50R also includes a handy auxiliary input for jamming along to your favourite MP3s or using as a rehearsal tool.

Built To Last

A soft carry case is also included with the GH50R to keep it protected during transit, while the amp itself is constructed from solid plywood with recessed handles and corner protection; this is a serious gigging tool that is built to withstand the rigours of gigging and touring.
