The Mesa Boogie Throttle Box is a high-gain circuit that can cover the complete distortion range from vintage to modern, letting you play all styles of rock and metal. The pedal features foot switchable Lo/High gain Modes so you can access two different sounds in an instant - perfect for live performance. An additional Mid-Cut control provides a mid-scooped sound for a modern metal tone while the independent Hi/Lo Level controls let you set the perfect level when switching between modes. The Throttle Box EQ can turn any amplifier into a high-gain monster, giving you access to the acclaimed distortion sound of Mesa Boogie.
The Mesa Boogie 5-band EQ has featured on high-end Mesa Boogie since the '70s and has provided guitarists with a powerful way to sculpt their tone far beyond what traditional amplifier controls can achieve. The 5-band EQ can give players access to the classic "V" profile with a mid-scooped tone for modern rock and metal, or it can create any number of EQ profiles to help your sound stand out. The Throttle Box EQ pedal gives you compact and portable access to the legendary Mesa Boogie EQ; it has the potential to either subtly or radically transform the sound of your amplifier.
With 5 sliders at preset frequencies, the Mesa Boogie Throttle Box EQ provides a wide range of control over your sound. Each slider is a long-throw design, created for fine control with up to +/-12dB of boost/cut. Whether you set the pedal for the famous "V"-shaped curve, or you use it for other tone-boosting settings, the Graphic EQ can radically sculpt your tone and have useful applications in any genre. The EQ is assignable to either/both of the Hi/Lo Modes, letting you easily preset 2 radically different sounds. An internal Boost switch also lets you boost the overall EQ response of the pedal for additional top and bottom-end along with a sweeter mid-range sound.
