Aggression and tone in an amazingly powerful pickup combination. The Ormsby Goliath has a Hot Rock A8 bridge humbucker and a PVH A2 neck humbucker to give you a truly remarkable sound. These are Ormsby's own pickups, wound in Korea, and designed to ideally suit the sound of each individual guitar they craft. When as much effort goes into making an instrument as it does with an Ormsby, a perfectly matched electronic system is essential to ensure sound quality is at its best.

The PVH A2 neck pickup gives you a diverse range of voicings to play with thanks to its unrivalled dynamism. Its real talent, though, comes in its ability to make lead notes sing with sparkling sharpness. Combine this with the Hot Rock A8 bridge pickup, which delivers savage aggression perfect for heavy riffs, and you've got a powerful pickup mix to give you astounding versatility and gigantic sound.

The Ormsby story

A tireless journey to craft the perfect guitar. Perry Ormsby was a talented carpenter for years before starting Ormsby Guitars. He would repeatedly promise to himself that he'd one day use his carpentry skills to make a fantastic guitar. The dream would eventually become a reality when Perry decided to give up everything, quit his job, sell his house, and chase his fantasy.

He never looked back. Shortly after crafting his very first model, word spread amongst guitarists, and Ormsby soon had an instrument waiting list of over two years. With the amazing multi-scale development, the company has gone from strength to strength. Their guitars are particularly popular within metal and hard rock genres, but are also suitable for blues and punk playing due to their magnificent playability.
