Constructed with a full mahogany body with a maple top, combined with a smooth, comfortable mahogany set-neck, the S2 Custom 22 offers a warm and resonant tone with plenty of depth and grind. Mahogany is a medium to heavy wood, creating a strong and sturdy design that will stand up to the gigging musician's lifestyle, while the maple top adds that extra bite to cut through any mix. The neck’s set-in construction delivers exceptional sustain thanks to the increased contact between the neck and body allowing vibrations to transfer easily through the entire instrument.

Powerful PRS 85/15 "S" Humbucking Pickups

Equipped with two explosive 85/15 "S" pickups, the S2 Custom 22 electric guitar provides warm, dynamic tone with plenty of rich harmonic depth and clarity. Both pickups provide a thick, authoritative sound with unmatched articulation. The 85/15 "S" pickups feature three conductor wiring, with ground, hot, and coil-tap wires. They can provide excellent single coil tone as well as their astounding humbucker sound thanks to the Push-Pull tone control which engages the S2 Custom 22's coil split system.

Push/Pull Coil Tap

Incorporating a Push-Pull coil tap control on the tone pot, the PRS S2 Custom 22 electric guitar can produce a range of sounds and tones perfect for versatile guitarists. Simply push/pull the tone control to switch the pickup between crisp single-coil sounds and strong, punchy humbucker tones. The 3-way pickup selector is used to create amazing tones for a range of music styles.
