The TimeLine is designed to offer incredible amounts of delay, providing a whole range of delay machines to choose from. Create effects ranging from clear, studio quality digital delays to saturated and fluctuating tape delay machines. The pedal features hand crafted delay algorithms, an innovative design and a SHARC DSP offering powerful processing power, to provide detailed and meticulous delay experiences.
With 8 control knobs that affect a wide range of parameters, the pedal gives you loads of control of the delay effects, giving you the ability to shape the effect to suit your playing. Three footswitches give you quick controls to select and bank through your presets, enter looper mode, and then become the controls for the in-built looper. With inputs for MIDI and an expression pedal, the TimeLine can use footswitches, pedals, and MIDI controllers to provide even more control over the delay effects.
Featuring 12 unique delay machines, the TimeLine can create a wide range of effects, ranging from warm fuzzy analogue style repeats, to shimmery, sparkling delays. The pedals first delay effect is the dTape, offering an effect based on a slide-head tape echo machine. After that is the dBucket which produces and analogue bucket brigade style delay with two delay time ranges. The digital delay is crystal clear and can create a wide range of delay tones whilst the Dual setting features two independent delays that can be in a series of parallel. Patten mode offers multi-tap patterns that can go from rhythmic to percussive, and Reverse mode plays the delay backwards, with your playing triggers the delays and produces predictable, repeatable reverse effects.
Ice mode cuts up the input and plays back the pieces in selectable interval shift amounts, allowing you to adjust up to an octave or down to an octave. The duck settings produces a ducking delay, that offers adjustable sensitivity and release time with a switchable feedback duck option, to create a wide range of dynamic delay effects. Swell mode creates ethereal, ambient effects, while Trem delivers a synchronised tremolo with a selectable wave shape. The filter setting features a synchronised filter that can be placed before or after the delay. The last setting is a lo-fi delay which offers a selection of hand crafted lo-fi filters with adjustable bit-depth and sample rate.
With the option to save and recall up to 200 of your own presets, the TimeLine will let you keep making new sounds without losing all your favourite settings. By using the front panel switches, you can quickly and easily select your desired preset, or you can select them via the MultiSwitch footswitch or a MIDI controller.
The TimeLine features a built-in stereo looper that can record up to 30 seconds, and can be routed to record pre, or porst delay. This allows to choose whether you want to loop your desired delay effect, or before the delay to saturate the dry loop in a sweet echo. The looper is easy and simple to use, with a switch to record, overdub, play and stop, with the option to control the looper though the MultiSwitch or MIDI controller to gain access to further controls.
Strymon’s TimeLine offers full MIDI support so the pedal can be integrated into any MIDI gear, giving you the ability to remotely control your effects via a MIDI controller. This feature also lets you select your presets via MIDI and also allows you to send MIDI messages to the built-in looper.
