Classic Alder Body

The Signature Vintage V6 has a body crafted from classic alder, giving this guitar a strong, full bodied sound with an incredibly clear feel. The body provides the overall tone with an excellent sustain, letting the notes ring out and decay naturally. The Thomas Blug Vintage Guitar’s high end comes across as sizzling, while the midrange sounds beefy and the low end delivering plenty of dynamics.

Maple Neck & Lignum Rosa Fingerboard

The maple neck and lignum rosa fingerboard combination deliver an excellent blend of warmth and brightness, creating a beautifully versatile tone. The maple wood delivers bright characteristics to give the vintage a nice, light sound, perfect for playing blues and Jazz. The wood’s high end comes across as sizzling, and its low end sounds firm, giving the midrange a snappy attack. The lignum rosa offers sweetness to the tone, smoothing it out and furring up the harsh edges of the maple. Its bolt-on construction enhances the overall tone with more treble and attack than traditional set-necks, offering plenty of articulation and upper fret access.

Wilkinson Single-Coil Pickups

The set of Wilkinson single-coil pickups are finished in a stunning aged ivory colour, adding to the vintage look of the Thomas Blug signature while delivering classic tonal options. These accurate replicas of 60s style pickups deliver an authentic vintage tone, designed with staggered polepieces for a balanced tone. Its alnico V magnet features a chamfered design, focusing its magnetic field to deliver a stunning high-end while letting the mids shine through to stop the pickups form sounding thin. This Vintage guitar’s bridge pickup is more overwound than the others to provide good balance, while the middle pickup features a reverse wind reverse polarity construction to deliver a hum-free performance when combined with the bridge or neck pickups.

Distressed Wilkinson Hardware

To accompany the Vintage Guitar’s distressed white finish, and offer a truly classic feel, the Vintage V6 Thomas Blug Signature Guitar is equipped with whole host of Wilkinson’s hardware which have been given their own distressed look. The Wilkinson WVCD original specification vibrato bridge features authentic bent steel saddles for that classic sparkle and tone. Precision machined pivot points provide a total return to pitch accuracy, and a stagger drilled sustain block to prevent string hang-up. The Wilkinson WJ55D tuners feature their E-Z-LOK string lock system, offering a quick and easy way to hugely enhanced the guitar’s tuning stability, while offering super quick string change times.
