Key Features
Product Ref: 112723
Despite the VRS130's accessible price, the guitar is constructed with a quality mahogany body and a true carved maple cap. The mahogany body creates a warm core tone with excellent sustain and resonance, while the maple top expands the range of overtones for a more complex sound. The body is crafted with smooth contours, meaning you'll have a comfortable playing experience whether stood up or sat down. The neck is set into the body with a long tenon joint for superior resonance, while the elegant outline of the VRS130 gives the impression of a much more expensive instrument and is certain to get you noticed.
The VRS130 is designed for rock and blues players, with its sleek double cutaway body and smooth playability. The neck features 24 frets to reach a full 2 octaves on each string, while the double cutaway body design and special 'three step' neck heel provides easy access to all 24 frets for high-range soloing. The lower horn features a special bevel that enables even easier reach to the top frets.
Like all Vintage guitars, the VRS130 features Trev Wilkinson-designed hardware, built on years of industry experience. The Wilkinson compensated bridge provides optimal intonation, along with a stable platform for optimal string vibration transfer. The bridge is complemented with Wilkinson WJ04 machineheads, providing quick tuning and stable action.
The VRS130 is loaded with two Wilkinson MWCHB double-coil humbuckers and wired with a single volume/tone control arrangement for simple and direct tonal adjustments. The 3-way toggle switch provides a range of tones to cover the rock and blues genres, from biting bridge-position tones to mellow neck-position sounds. These pickups make the most of the tonal potential from the VRS130's classic mahogany and maple tonewood combination.
