The Yamaha CG162C Classical Acoustic features a solid American red cedar top that only sounds better with age. Additionally, its solid cedar top produces a sweet, dark, and complex tone with excellent bass response and rich harmonics. Solid cedar is also well-known for its stunning response to a lighter touch, perfect for the fingerpicking enthusiast. The solid top is attached to ovangkol back and sides which not only offer a striking visual appeal but produces a great sound. Ovangkol is also often compared to rosewood and shares many of the same tonal properties.
Nato Neck & Rosewood Fingerboard
Constructed from nato, the CG162C's neck offers a quick and dynamic response, perfect for traditional, classical and Spanish inspired techniques.
