MS-20 style circuitry stays true to the original sound, with the Behringer K-2 bringing this classic synth into the modern era. The original synth was renowned for changing the synthesizer world. The award-winning semi-modular monophonic synth providing advanced way to create sounds and timbres at the time. Since then, it has held its notoriety throughout the years thanks to its analog circuitry and versatile parameters that make it so sought after.
The K-2 stays faithful to the original, retaining the same circuitry, versatile VCFs and powerful oscillators whilst introducing modern-day connectivity. With 36 controls in total, the Behringer K-2 provides a hands-on approach to sound design and tone-sculpting. It provides you with the means to create limitless sounds and even expand your sound design capabilities with external gear.
At the heart of the Behringer K-2 is a pure analog signal path. Great care has been taken to stay true to the original, keeping the same VCO VCF and VCA design with matched transistors and JFETs. This faithful recreation provides exceptional sound shaping options, allowing you to create everything from powerful basses to leads, pads and everything in between. You can then add texture by introducing the wide range of amazing effects, ranging from delays and reverbs to distortion.
The Voltage Controlled Oscillators deliver a wide variety of sounds from the four variable oscillator shapes. Each of the shapes has variable pulse widths and ring modulation for in-depth tone sculpting. The dual oscillators come complete with a VCO mixer, allowing you to control the volumes of VCO 1 and VCO 2 and even blend between the two for interesting sonic results.
The main core of the K-2 is spearheaded by the K-2s versatile 24 dB/octave filter, allowing you to switch between High and Low-Pass Cutoff frequencies, as well as their respective resonance settings. The high-pass filter allows you to set the levels of the signals below the cutoff frequency. This results in the reduction of fundamental and lower-order harmonic levels. The low-pass filter controls the volume of the signals above the cutoff, reducing high-end harmonic content. This can add texture and skew the way tones sound for in-depth control.
The Behringer Neutron is a paraphonic semi-modular synth featuring a fully analog circuit. Recreating the classic VCO design for optimal sound performance. The semi-modular architecture features a array of connections including patch points and MIDI I/O, as well as default routings that require no patching. At the core of the synth are the dual 3340 analog oscillators, delivering a wide sonic range for unprecedented sound design capabilities. You can blend oscillator waveforms, seamlessly blending between tone modulation, pulse, sawtooth, triangle and sine waves. This allows you to achieve new waveform combinations for a truly unique sound.
When used in Paraphonic mode, the Behringer Neutron allows both oscillators to be controlled independently. This versatile feature allows for deeper control of your synth, ideal for live performances for making dynamic changes on the fly. It also boasts individual pulse width/tone modulation control, allowing you to fine-tune your sound. The synth includes a self-oscillating, multi-mode VCF with dual output, allowing you to sculpt your sound with the powerful filters. Two analog ADSR generators provide modulation of the VCF and VCA for further modulation options, allowing you to change the style and shape of your sound. This allows you to achieve everything from percussive sounds to rich melodic tones.
The Neutron comes complete with a multiple stage analog delay, basing its design on the classic Bucket Brigade Delay technology. The overdrive circuit delivers analog warmth and edge to your sounds, bringing out the brash side of your tones. Also included is a noise generator, designed to dramatically change the waveform generation, for sound experimentation purposes. The flexible LFO features five waveforms shapes in total as well as MIDI clock sync and key sync.
The dual VCO design of the Pro-1 beautifully recreates the classic sound of its predecessor. It utilises 3340 and 3320 semiconductors so you can faithfully recreate the iconic timbres of monophonic synthesis. You can use three simultaneous oscillator shapes - for Osc A these are Saw, Pulse and Osc B has Saw, Triangle, Pulse waveforms. This gives you a wide palette of sounds for you to develop your sound with.
Extra special effort has been given to the design of the Pro-1. It features true analog circuitry meaning that you get amazingly warm tones with minimal effort. The VCO, VCF, and VCA are combined to give you that classic sound performance. This focus and attention to detail has given the Pro-1 it's unique, vibrant, and complex sound.
Subtractive synthesis has been a staple in sound design for decades now. Filters have become one of the major focuses of synthesizer design. At the centre of the PRO-1's design is a powerful 4-pole filter. 4-pole filters offer softer filtering capabilities - this gives the sound it produces a very lively and warm sonic character. The ADSR controls allow you to dial in the perfect sound. And you can even select between hi- or low-pass filtering.
The Pro-1 is a versatile synthesizer. It can be installed into a Eurorack case - this means you can easily integrate it into your existing Eurorack set up. Allowing the Pro-1 to work seamlessly with your existing Eurorack system.
Elegant desktop housing for synth modules. The Behringer 3-Tier Eurorack Stand is a robust synth stand providing you with up to 104HP of space, perfect for storing Behringer semi-modular synths or a skiff case. The Behringer 3-Tier Stand is perfect for accommodating desktop-based synths and modular systems. It provides the space to install 3 x 70HP synths such as the Wasp, Cat and Model D synths.
You can also use differing configurations to store 3 x 80HP (Neutron, K2, Pro 1) or you can use it with the 104HP Eurorack cases. The stand is made from power-coated aluminium and is easy to assemble. The robust yet slimline design is perfect for use at home or on the stage, allowing you to try out different synth and module configurations to create your own versatile synth system. It also leaves space at the back, so you can access synth connections with ease.
