With the Roland HP506 Digital Piano you get Roland's advanced SuperNATURAL Piano sound engine that delivers the rich tones of an authentic acoustic grand. This has been enhanced even further for the HP-506 with the Dynamic Harmonic feature for fortissimo playing, providing a unique tonal character and powerful sound. New Individual Note Voicing lets you customise the sound of each note adjusting pitch, volume and character.
The HP506 has four speakers, instead of two like many digital pianos, which are positioned so that the player is enveloped in a rich, warm sound that's far closer to an acoustic piano. The sound comes from the area that it would come from in an acoustic piano providing a truly authentic experience.
This authentic sound is complemented by the natural touch of the new PHA-4 Concert-class keyboard. It's highly sensitive and able to capture the most subtle nuances of your playing. This allows the player to fully utilise the SuperNATURAL Piano's rich tonal variations and natural dynamics. The keys replicate the unique appearance, touch and moisture absorbing properties of genuine Ebony and Ivory. The key action is also quieter than previous models so when playing with headphones you won't disturb anyone at all. The piano has a large onboard song library covering piano classics, as well as popular études such as Czerny 100 and Hanon
Th Roland HP506 piano is ideal for students. For newer players, silent practice using headphones is an often used feature of a digital piano but you often have to sacrifice sound quality for convenience. With the Roland HP506 you don't have to compromise. The Headphones 3D Ambience effect means you'll hear the same great sound from this Roland piano whether you're using headphones or not.
As with all digital pianos, the Roland HP506 is a reliable and convenient instrument that never needs tuning. It also features a built in recorder so you can record your performances as MIDI or audio files and listen back to make improvements (optional USB flash memory required for audio recording). Connect a USB key containing your favourite tunes and you can listen to them using the piano's speakers and even play along on top. Other convenient features for daily playing include independent volume for headphones, Volume Limit function and an adjustable music rest
The HP-506 has a host of different voices to explore and experiment with including classic grand piano, smooth electric pianos, jazzy organs and majestic strings. For even more fun the HP-506 works with Roland's free iOS piano apps so you can use your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch to enhance your learning even further. The Piano Partner app for iPad includes an interactive Flash Card game for building skills and provides a user friendly way of selecting songs and tones in the HP506. The Air Performer app lets you play along with your favourite songs stored in your iOS device.
Roland believe that a manufacturer's warranty is a statement about how reliable the product is, and so they'd like to say something loud and clear: a Roland digital piano is meant to be played for many years to come, and they're so confident that it won't let you down that they're providing a 10 year warranty, for free, on their HP and LX ranges.
The Roland 10 year warranty protects your piano against failure due to faulty manufacture and is the longest warranty period on the market. They can do this because they've been making digital pianos for more than four decades, so they have a pretty good idea of what it means to be reliable, with an exceptional level of durability and craftsmanship inside and out.
