Yamaha use Advanced Wave Memory sampling to ensure their digital pianos have the most realistic sounds of an acoustic piano possible. Using this dynamic stereo technology, recordings are made over 3 levels, taking information from playing nuances such as playing strength. This lets you produce remarkably authentic sounds with high expressive quality whether you're playing professionally or for practice.

The Grade Hammer Standard 88-note keyboard gives the lower notes a weighty feel, and the higher notes a soft-touch response, letting you experience the true feel of a traditional acoustic piano to match the characteristic sound made by the YDP-V240.

An array of acoustic and electronically amplified instrument sounds are built-in to the Yamaha Arius YDP-V240. A blend of long, stereo and multi-layered samples is used to fully capture the natural presence, resonance, expression and vibrato of the real instrument.

The auto-accompaniment feature adds depth to your performance by recreating the sounds of a full band or ochestra when you play 'chords' with your left hand. This feature can accomodate a range of styles including pop and jazz. Even beginners can experience an accomplished solo performance.

You can change the default style of your song by using the Easy Song Arranger function. The function allows you to change the melody voice of the song and the keyboard voice for a complete change and for ultimate creativity.

If the data is available, you can use the Easy Performance setting with Music Notation Display to display the corresponding score on the piano's display. This is a great way to learn how to read music. Performance Assistant Technology lets you play along with a song on the instrument's keyboard on the wrong notes... and still sound great! As long as you play in time with the music, the PAT will help you produce a perfect performance every time.

Delivery Options

Courier Delivery

When you add this product to your shopping basket, you will be provided with our standard courier delivery option free of charge, which is a 'to your door' service. You may need to help the delivery driver as this product comes packaged in large boxes!

This option may not be suitable if you are unable to help the driver if required, or if you need the piano delivering upstairs but you don't have anyone else available to help. Please consider whether this is the most appropriate delivery service for you, as other delivery options are also available for an additional cost.

2 Man Delivery Service

If you select this option, two delivery personnel will deliver the piano boxes to any ground floor room of your choice, rather than just your front door. Please note that this service will take a few days longer than the standard courier service and the courier company will call you to arrange a convenient delivery date after you have placed the order.

Delivery & Installation
