Tyros is already well known for industry leading content and quality but the Tyros4 raises the bar with its array of polished new voices and styles. One of the notable new editions is the new Super Articulation Choir Voices with amazingly natural human voice sounds. For composers, this gives even more expressive capability.

Professional Auto Accompaniment and Music Finder

Extra accompaniments have been added in the Tyros4 with the expert use of new Super Articulation and Super Articulation 2 Voices. the MegaVoices have also become more varied and expressive partciularly in the Scat and Gospel areas.

With the enourmous amount of music available on the Tyros 4 the Music Finder function lets you instantly find what you need. Find ideal set-ups for each song or easily recall your own saved data.

Synth Vocoder

If you're a fan of the Synth Vocoder feature which can produce an array of luscious or other-wordly sounds you'll be pleased to hear that this has also been improved and enhanced. The Vocal Harmony 2 (VH2) processing engine delivers the superior Yamaha sound and flexible control of the harmonies applied to your voice.

Tyros Audio Recording and Playback

The Tyros 4 lets you record your performances as audio data with a choice of two different methods. The simple mode lets you record to a single track whilst Multi Track lets you overdub for complex songs. The created audio data is saved in WAV format so you can edit your recordings on a computer, share them online or burn original CDs. You can also use the Tyros 4 to playback MP3 data.

You can record your own singing performances or the sound of other instruments directly to the Tyros4 with absolutely noise-free audio quality. If you use computer or editing software you can also edit the sound file as needed and then re-import it to the Tyros4.

The Tyros4 can also be directly connected to the Internet using the Direct Connection function which allows you to download special content without the need for a computer. Enhancements include a convenient, easy-to-use IDC Setup Wizard, as well as new security options, with WPA2 and WPA.

Yamaha Tyros4 Voices

The Yamaha Tyros4 has a range of rich and realistic voices and styles from including piano, strings, choir and brass voices with pop, rock, swing and world rhythms. The voices are incredibly natural thanks to Ambient Sampling which involves carefully adjusted microphones in the sound capturing process.

The Tyros4 features a variety of accompaniment and rhythmic backing patterns (called "Styles") in a variety of different musical genres including pop, jazz, and many others. The Style features Auto Accompaniment, letting you produce automatic accompaniment playback simply by playing "chords" with your left hand. This lets you automatically recreate the sound of a full band or orchestra even if you're playing by yourself!
