Kawai’s collaboration with audio company Onkyo gives the CA98 an excellent sound quality. The 1-bit DSD processing ensures a versatile tone whilst improving power efficiency for decreased distortion. The Kawai CA98 benefits from Onkyo’s premium dual DACs, which have a stereo sound effect and respond with precision to your playing style. The power amplifiers are designed to capably handle any level of sound, as well as being energy efficient for reduced background noise. Onkyo and Kawai’s collaboration results in an authentic, natural piano sound.
SK-EX Sound Engine
The CA98 has a sound engine that faithfully recreates the tone of an acoustic piano and features samples from the flagship SK-EX. The piano is sampled from multiple sections of its cabinet for a more organic, accurate tone with calculated resonance modelling creating realistic reverb, dampness and cabinet sound. The range of piano sounds provides options for all musical styles.
Easy to Use Interface
The user friendly interface allows instant navigation through the Kawai CA98’s features. There's a 5 inch, touch sensitive screen conveniently placed to the left side of the keys within easy reach. The on-board ‘Pianist’ function allows you to edit and enhance each piano voice’s settings to suit your exact preference. The CA98’s ‘Favourite’ setting is instantly available on the screen, you can quickly recall your preferred presets.
TwinDrive Soundboard Speaker
The CA98 benefits from a TwinDrive soundboard speaker system. This powerful system features dedicated low and mid-range frequency speakers that are designed by Onkyo for exceptional sound quality. The bass speaker is positioned to the bottom of the cabinet for a more realistic frequency resonance. These speakers are placed behind a solid wooden cabinet to project the natural reverb and frequency balance of an acoustic piano. The TwinDrive technology offers a more powerful volume and increased headroom.

Kawai 5 Year European Warranty
As an expression of the confidence Kawai have in the design and manufacturing of their instruments, they offer a 5-year warranty for parts and labour with all their digital pianos. Within the first two years, which is covered by Gear4music, simply contact our Customer Services team on 0330 365 444 and we will organise the repair/replacement, subject to issue. Kawai will honour any manufacturing defects after this two year period subject to completing the warranty information which will be enclosed with your piano and Kawai will organise the repair/replacement as deemed necessary.

Delivery
Standard Courier Delivery
When you add this product to your shopping basket, you will be provided with our standard courier delivery option. This will deliver the piano to the ground floor of your house or building. Please note that if there is not a ground floor entrance we may not be able to deliver there. You may also need to help the delivery driver as this product comes packaged in large boxes.
This may not be suitable if you are unable to help the driver if required, or if you need the piano delivering upstairs. Please consider whether this is the most appropriate delivery service for you, as other delivery options are available at an additional cost.
Delivery and Installation Service
This service can be arranged on an ad-hoc basis via a specialist piano delivery company. Delivery times cannot be guaranteed until we have made arrangements with the delivery company.
