As one of Manley's original and premier preamplifiers, the Dual Mono offers an incredible sounding preamp stage. With 40 to 60dbs of gain, even ribbon microphones can be powered and record audio with total accuracy. Selectable in 5dB steps, the gain stage of this tool helps you get the best recordings possible.

By varying the negative feedback of the GAIN switch, you can change the slew rate, placement, and tonal balance of the sound. Allowing you to find sonic characteristics that range from warm and tube-like, running the gamut of styles all the way to punchy to aggressive.

Valve power

The tubes featured in this preamp are the 12AX7EH hand-selected for lowest noise and the 6414 for each high-current output stage. These are slowly and carefully handwired to produce the best quality possible. Double shielded power transformers protect the circuit from picking up unwanted noise.
