Driven by performance. With a newly developed Class-D amplifier engine, your Yamaha PX3 gives you everything you need to enjoy phenomenal sound from your system. Each of the amp's necessary functions have been concentrated into a single custom LSI chip, utilising precise PLL technology for transferring characteristics in real-time. The result? Incredible sound quality and plenty of power every single time.
With this new custom LSI chip, the PX3 is able to remain lightweight and incredibly reliable. You can take advantage of higher output and improved performance at the same time, ensuring that your show sounds exactly the way it should, night after night. Combining Yamaha's outstanding build-quality, cutting-edge technology, and meticulously selected components, you can be sure that your PX3 will give you everything you need without holding back, and without failing on you.
Four models with different power capabilities. The PX Series lets you choose your amp to suit your exact needs. Each amp is perfect for a huge range of live sound reinforcement, offering power outputs from 500W x 2 (PX3, at 4 Ohms) all the way up to 1200W x 2 (PX10, at 4 Ohms). Plus, with the PX3 and PX5, you can even make use of their unique Power Boost mode, enabling you to combine the power output from two channels into one for a high single channel power output. This is perfect for when you want to drive speakers with higher power handling to get the best out of your system (Please Note: Power Boost mode halves the number of available channels).
Each amp in the PX range also boasts incredible signal processing capabilities. With flexible onboard crossovers, filters, delays, limiters, and a PEQ with a fixed preset, you can get your system running and sounding exactly the way you want it with ease. You also have Yamaha's legendary D-CONTOUR multi-band dynamic processing at your fingertips for phenomenal clarity and detail for a multitude of situations. All this can be achieved from the amp's LCD display without the need for any outboard gear.
No matter how much experience you have, the Yamaha PX Series lets you get the best out of your sound reinforcement system with ease. With both Advanced and Basic setup modes, you can configure your system in a way that suits you. Basic mode provides you with an easy-to-use interface that lets you get your system up and running with high-quality sound and performance. When you want more precise control over every aspect of your sound, you can set your system up with the Advanced configuration mode. Plus, every amp in the PX series boasts eight programmable presets that can be instantly recalled for rapid setup times. You can even save your presets to a USB flash drive so you can use your favourite settings with other PX power amps.
Setting up just got easier. PX amplifiers feature a unique Configuration Wizard. This lets you set your system up quickly and easily by assigning optimised speaker settings that are designed to match your system configuration. All you have to do is choose the appropriate filter and crossover for each speaker, and the Wizard will make sure that everything is handled exactly the way it should be. Plus, with handy presets pre-installed for Yamaha's high-performance passive speakers, including CBR, Club Installation, and VXS/VXC series speakers, you can hook up and match your PX amplifier to your speakers in seconds. There's also an Advanced mode that lets you take a more in-depth approach to configuration.
Run your system with confidence. Your PX series amplifier is loaded with intelligent protection features to keep your system running safely. With a whole host of Load, Amplifier, and Power Supply protection functions, you can be sure that even in the worst-case scenario, your amp will operate and shut down safely to prevent unwanted damage or danger. Important information can be exported from your amp to a USB drive so that you can troubleshoot any issues with ease. Plus, with a handy panel locking function, you can keep your settings safe from unauthorised access.
