The Blackmagic Decklink Family offer high quality 10 bit SDI video at a fraction of the price of other solutions, and integrate with Quicktime and DirectShow compatibility, integrate with a huge range of software. This includes Adobe After Effects, Adobe Premiere Pro, Discreet Combustion, Apple Shake, Discreet Cleaner, Color Finesse, Microcosm, and more!

Decklink also operate as a native Windows second monitor - so when you're not editing you can use it to view Photoshop compositions (great for graphics preparation), or even output Powerpoint presentations!

Ideal for small companies or freelancers, right up to the highest end facility doing feature film work, Decklink gives you support for a multitude of formats. Even if you're working in DV via firewire, Decklink monitoring ensures you are video legal before your job is finished.

Built In Sync Generator

Unlike other systems, Decklink's built-in sync generator provides SDI sync to decks, saving you hundreds of dollars on Blackburst sync generator equipment. When connecting to traditional broadcast facilities, Decklink Pro, SP and Extreme also include genlock to allow reference to house sync. Decklink HD Pro features HD TriSync and Blackburst input.

Inbuilt Deck Control

Putting together a workstation for special purpose DVD authoring, broadcast design or digital effects work is now even easier with the new Blackmagic Deck Control. With full RS-422 remote control of broadcast decks for clip capture and output to tape, you get everything you need to transfer media between computer and deck environments.

Realtime Effects

As well as providing fully featured SDI communications, Decklink also features loads of useful realtime effects. Transitions include Dissolve, Cross Dissolve, Non Additive Dissolve, Additive Dissolve, Fade in Fade out and Dip to Color. Filters include Sepia, Desaturate, Brightness Contrast, Proc Amp, Tint, Gamma Correction and 3-way colour correction.

High Quality Video Connectivity

Blackmagic Decklink captures true 10-bit uncompressed video to disk. You get every single bit of every pixel that's available in the SDI video signal output from Digital Betacam or D5 decks. Decklink HD Pro even features the new dual link 4:4:4 HD standard for 12-bit video capture and playback - perfect for seamless keying, colour manipulation and other critical effects work.

Blackamgic's 16-bit RGB rendering codec allows applications such as After Effects to access the highest broadcast quality available. Also included is 8-bit uncompressed video, with JPEG and DV video modes for ultimate flexibility - great for long format work where disk space is an issue.
