Portable, Discreet & Battery Powered

Sometimes you just need a good way to record without all the complicated setup of microphones, cables and mixers or perhaps you need to record somewhere where power is limited. The TwoTrack is your solution. It's small enough to keep in your guitar case or laptop bag and runs on just one AA battery for hours of recording.

Looking to record interviews, meetings or lectures or perhaps you need to capture that live performance? The discreet TwoTrack can be set down on a table or in the corner of the room on the Alesis Tripod Stand (sold separately) and forgotten about. It is small and unobtrusive enough not to put off your subject or draw too much attention! Perfect for capturing natural speech, nature sounds or performances.

Your recording will be saved in the TwoTrack's internal 128MB memory or on a micro SD or SDHC card up to 8GB (sold separately) for more than 100 hours of uncompressed WAV, or thousands of hours of MP3. Once you're done recording you'll have a 16-bit, 44.1 stereo wav file, or an MP3 at up to 192kbps so you can easily listen to your performance and move it to your computer, music player, or phone.

The TwoTrack is more than just a compact recorder. You can export the recordings to your computer using the mini-USB output and thanks to the TwoTrack's dual condenser microphones, you'll have two tracks to work with in virtually any music software from GarageBand to Pro Tools. You can covert your recording to a live CD for repeated listening or to share with your friends. Or separate tracks with fade ins and outs and make a band CD to sell to your fans at your next gig. The Alesis TwoTrack is one of the most inexpensive ways to get you or your band heard.

Making Movies

The TwoTrack is portable, easy to use and packed with useful features. You can easily mount it on a standard camera stand or on the optional Alesis Mic Stand Adapter, which allows the TwoTrack to be placed on a mic stand. If you have a favourite microphone that you'd like to record with, the TwoTrack features a convenient mic/line input on its side for mono or stereo sources. You can also mount and connect the TwoTrack to compatible video cameras and greatly enhance the sound on your videos.

The TwoTrack's microphone gain control is ergonomically designed to be right under your thumb or forefinger for easy adjustment, and you can easily monitor each mic's level on the TwoTrack's backlit LCD screen. A red LED indicates when you are recording and turns off whenever your signal clips, giving you a visual indication that gain adjustment is needed. If you don't want to worry about adjusting the gain manually, simply turn on the automatic gain control and the TwoTrack will monitor and adjust levels automatically to keep them consistent and virtually eliminate distortion.
