The beating heart of the Hammer Pro 88 is the hammer-action graded keybed, providing a similar feel to that of a grand piano, with weighted keys that react like an acoustic piano. This provides added expression, allowing you to capture every nuance of your performance from velocity to touch. Whether you’re playing in melodies for your next music production or taking to the stage for your next performance, the Hammer Pro 88 will provide an authentic feel like no other MIDI keyboard.
It doesn’t stop there, the Hammer 88 Pro also features cutting-edge ‘Assignable Aftertouch’ technology. This unique feature will track the movement or your finger after a note is pressed. For example, if you have a violin sound you can capture further articulation by adjusting the pressure of your finger on the note even after its being played.
Smart controls for inspiration and experimentation
Stuck for inspiration? M-Audio has your back with the newly introduced Smart Controls. These unique tools are ideal for those building their skills, perfect for intuitive playing and experimenting with new chord progressions. The Smart Controls are comprised of ‘Smart Chord’ and ‘Smart Scale’ functions.
Once activated, Smart Chord allows you to trigger a full chord by pressing a single note. The key you press will be used as the root note of the chord, with the other chord characteristics being chosen by you. It even features a ‘Custom Mode’ which allows you to choose the chord structure that will be used on each key by playing them in.
Never hit the wrong note again with Smart Scale technology. Once enabled, Smart Scale allows you to set the keyboard so only keys in your chosen scale will play. With 16 scale variations on offer, you can enjoy error-free playing no matter what your skill set is.
16 RGB backlit performance pads
