Connectivity

The Marantz PMD-561 features 2 balanced XLR microphone inputs with +48V Phantom Power allowing you to record directly from studio-quality condenser microphones on the fly. This gives you the added versatility of being able to record from your microphone directly to the recorder while choosing the file format, sample rate and bit depth of your recording. This is ideal for musicians on the move as it allows you to capture studio-quality vocal recordings on the move. Additionally the unit features a S/PDIF digital input, which allows you to connect the PMD-561 to a range of external audio equipment such as studio interfaces.

Display & Design

The durable design of the PMD-561 makes it perfect for taking anywhere with you. Its outer casing and shape makes it resistant to superficial damage while the front panel features a range of large buttons for easy access to controls and parameters. The front panel of the PMD-561 also features a bright LED display which features a decibel meter for both the left and the right channel, plus a three segment battery meter for display how much power the unit holds. Additionally the unit features a 9 segment decibel meter on the bottom which gives you a bright visual representation of the volume, while also signalling when the decibel meter is going over the appropriate level. It also features an integrated headphones input for quick and easy monitoring plus an overall volume control utilise for speaker outputs. Audio date is recorded directly to a stable and reliable SD/SDHC flash media for maximum security and can be transferred to a computer via the integrated USB connection.
