The DAC

The ADI-2 comes jam-packed with the finest high-end electronics, providing you with superb audio conversion. The ADI-2 DAC features balanced/unbalanced analog outputs, an Extreme Power headphone output, and a super low-noise IEM output, which provide you with accurate audio reproduction. The ADI-2 features USB connectivity, which allows it to easily integrate with Mac, PC, and iOS devices. Offering DSP-based signal processing, with sample rates of up to 768kHz, as well as DSD and Direct DSD playback, the ADI-2 DAC is one of the most versatile DAC units available. Additionally, the SPDIF signal can also be recorded via USB.

Super Low-Noise IEM Output

The super low-noise IEM (in ear monitors) output is definitely one for the audiophiles and music lovers. IEMs offer a reference sound many professionals use, as many music listeners these days use IEMs day-to-day instead of bulky on-ear or over-ear headphones. Due to many modern IEMs being extremely sensitive and operating on low voltages, a side effect is that they uncover the noise floor of the player, DAC, or headphone amp. To combat this, RME have developed their Extreme Power headphone stage so the basic noise floor can be taken as low as possible. The Extreme Power outputs also offer the full dynamic range, allowing you to reference accurately. One of the Extreme Power outputs is an advanced IEM output, which offers 10dB lower amount of ground noise floor than the normal Extreme Power output. The THD is super-low, click-free on/off is included, as well as volume ramp-up, providing you with outstanding sound quality.

SteadyClock FS

The ADI-2 DAC utilises improved SteadyClock technology that offers excellent jitter suppression. The SteadyClock technology is highly efficient and refreshes and cleans up any clock system, providing you with rock-solid timing and stability. The ADI-2 DAC also features a powerful DSP processor, providing up to 768kHz sample rate.

Lights Off Display & Remote Control

The ADI-2 DAC includes one of the highly requested features from ADI-2 Pro Hi-Fi customers. When AutoDark mode is activated, the display, function keys, volume knob, and standby button all go off after 10 seconds of no user operation. To make things easier, the RME ADI-2 comes with an easy to use remote control that can be used to control all this, meaning you will never need to keep making trips over to the device to make any changes. Conveniently, the remote control won't interfere with your ATV or other devices.
