120V Rail Technology

The SPL Phonitor 2 is a compact, premium-grade headphone monitoring amplifier, boasting exceptional audio fidelity and unique 120V rail technology. The specialised 120V Rail Technology delivers outstanding technical and sonic performance, providing exceptional dynamic range and headroom. The 120V technology is double the voltage of discrete op-amps, and four-times that of a semiconductor operational amplifier. The result is natural and rich sound reproduction designed to minimise hearing fatigue while in use.

In-Depth Control

The ultimate monitoring system, the SPL Phonitor 2; provides a wide range of in-depth controls allowing you to cater to different environments and applications. The Phonitor 2 unit provides stereo preamplification and headphone amplifications for up to three sources. It is ideal as a central monitoring unit in any professional setting such as studios. It features classic controls such as Phase Reverse, Solo and Mono switches. The Phonitor 2 is also ideal for re-amping, allowing you to boost the levels after analog master processing for added flexibility.

Phonitor Matrix

One of the most innovative technologies including in the SPL Phonitor 2 is the Phonitor Matrix. The unique Phonitor Matrix technology provides speaker-equivalent listening on headphones, ideal for mixing and mastering purposes. The Phonitor Matrix works by emulating the stereo field and positioning of near-field speakers and recreating it within your headphones. This provides a different perspective on your audio, ideal for studio engineers, who need to check their mixes on different mediums.

Design & Connectivity

The compact and highly portable design of the Phonitor 2 makes it ideal for studio and hi-fi applications alike. The robust yet sleek design of the Phonitor 2 makes it ideal as a centrepiece in any home audio setup or studio setting. The large potentiometers provide precise control for everything from master volume levels to Crossfeed and Positioning Angle. Also included are two vintage-style VU meters, providing classic metering. The rear of the unit features inputs for up to 3 sources as well as XLR L/R outputs. You can also control the Phonitor 2 System using an IR remote (not included).
